2011 February Wirral Embroiderers Guild

*

Firstly I would like to apologise to all the Wirral ladies for having such a rubbish picture in my blog. I am sure if you were on the course you will be able to make out which is you. I blame my mum for pinching the golden Hinde Camera and it being on a funny setting, :0)

*

Our course was on Or Nue and I had accidentally double booked myself, due to a date change not put on the calendar. So As I am the resident Or Nue expert, I took this class, whilst my mum took one in Frodsham for the Lacemakers.

So there I was on my own teaching the Wirral embroiderers guild ladies, but of course I have met most of them over the years, taught some of them more than once, some a considerable amount of times, you know who you are. And one friendly face that has even included me on an embroidery of hers we did at Plas Tan one year.

The Or Nue class is always slow to start, but once they all get into the rhythm of stitching, I think they find it very therapeutic. I always love this type of goldwork embroidery and can pass many an hour stitching away. I even did it one time whilst I was at the Glasgow show, when we were a bit quite.

All the ladies did very well in the day and one of the ladies has even sent me her finished piece, I am looking forward to seeing more finished pieces and posting them in the gallery.
