Ann H - Goldwork Gekco

At our Frodsham Lacemakers class. Ann was asking our advice about what to do on her Gekco, she chose to use the holographic leather on the middle of the body, I think it looks really effective. It almost takes on a hue of the background fabric. Hasn't she made a good job of it.

Ann commented
"You asked at the course, which I thoroughly enjoyed by the way, if we would send you photos of any finished projects, so I am attempting to send you a photo of my seahorse and my gecko.   I am delighted with them both"

***Golden Wedding Gift***
Well Pamela P, I must say this is a great piece of work and I was really impressed, I particularly like your use of the green leather, who says it has to be used on the right side, the suede effect really lifts those leaves.

Seahorse
This wonderful seahorse produced by Eilidh R.
Her email comments were "I came to your stall in Harrogate and bought the seahorse for starters. I enjoyed doing in it and the instructions were easy to follow. Also, thank you for your help when i rang up. I think I will buy another kit!"
It's always good to get feedback from a happy customer.

Butterfly
Gill M did this lovely Butterfly on one of our day classes.

Stephanie bought one of our seahorse kits and made a fantastic work of art which she has framed.

Vicky is one of my beloved class members and created this beautiful goldwork fish. Worked with Jap and twist over string, with a stumpwork fin.

Kate Lawson - Shell. KL attended one of our course 1, level 1 classes for beginners and I think you will agree has produced a stunning shell in silver.

WOW. who would have thought it, this talented lady has produced a piece of goldwork that she has then applied to slate and then embroidered into the slate as well. Lots of holes were drilled for this project. Excellent work Sarah.

Bird of Paradise
Gill M, has done another fantastic piece of goldwork, she is a prolific embroiderer. I particularly like the use of the background, which is a multishaded turquoise, it looks very effective.

The holographic leather looks particularly good for the birds head and neck.

Our great friend Mabel did this lovely Or Nue Bee, done on canvas, isnt it excellent. Mabel comes and visits us every year at one of the big shows with her friend. They come all the way from the Nederlands

Elena came on one of our day classes in Warrington and produced this lovely train. Even dedicating it by put a name in it, the perfect gift to go on the wall for a little one.

Katherine Dobson - After sending us a design and having a bit of a chat, KD has produced this wonderful stole

Sarah - The Clogs. Another great effort by a wonderful embroiderer, this time she has embroiderered using the goldwork twists onto a piar of clogs. Not just any clogs she actually made these herself, even the wooden sole.
