100% SILK. Silk Dupion (sometimes the spelling is 'douppioni' or 'dupioni')
It is a lustrous silk, which is often woven from two different colors of threads, to give it a shot appearance.
Silk Dupion is made from irregular, rough silk, it is spun from double cocoons or cocoons spun side-by-side which are interlocked,
giving the silk a more coarse appearance and creating a lovely textured background. Silk Dupion comes in many varied coloures, with a crisp finish.
It can be reversed, it is not particularly stretchy, and is relatively easy to sew with or onto.
Whilst the majority of our range is repeatable (although there may be slight colour variations between rolls produced at different times).
It is hard to capture the true colour and texture of this silk in the pictures provided, we therefore advise you that if you need a particular shade,
samples can be requested.
Once fabric is cut we cannot offer a refund unless it is faulty or damaged.
